March '06 Journey III : Laos Day 4

Laos Trip : Day 4 (16 Mar 06)

Before I am going to post the story about my FUJI Mt. Climbing Experiences (now, waiting for some nice pictures of the 3rd Fuji trip from my friends who are now on travelling), let me continue my very past journey of Laos Trip in March which is close to the end of this 5-day trip. If you guys already forgot the series of Laos trip, please visit former blogs as followings; Day 0, Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3. Go to Day 4 now,

After we reached the world heritage city of Luangprabang the day before, on Day 4 of the trip we woke up very early in the morning to give steam-cooked sticky rice to hundreds of monks among the Buddhism atmosphere. I really love this feeling. After that, we rented bicycles, to which we really get familiar, for riding around this Buddhism and calm city.

Let's take a short journey in Laungprabang with me...

Lots of Buddhists giving cooked-sticky rice to the monks

Hundreds of Lao monks waiting for an alm in early morning

Pho, again for our today's breakfast at a famous restaurant

Kra-Tib กระติ๊บ, a sticky rice container hanging at local people's house window

An old-styled Mercedez Benz with a nice old design restaurant

Wat Chiang Thong, one of the most famous LanChang style temple in Laungprabang

Our rental bicycles parking at the temple wall

After visiting many temples by bicycles, we droped by at Chang's cafe operated by Thais.

Nong Khao took us out of the downtown in the afternoon.

..........

Up hill riding to the silk village

N'Bow fell down from the bicycles but still laughable.

The last temple we visited today.

Unseen in Laungprabang, the beach of Khong river.

Nott with a wonderful sky

Mai looking at the sky

Ton beside Khong river before sunset

Watermelon farm growing on the sand

Before sunset at Khong river

Our dinner, This is my most favorite menu along the trip. คล้ายๆขนมจีนน้ำใส อร่อยมาก

After having dinner, we again walked along the night street market and has a small shopping after buying many stuffs yesterday. Then, we went for a massage after feeling so tired from a one-day cycling around the city. Laungprabang is a lovely town with very friendly people. If I have the next chance to visit, I will not miss it. The only one day left in Laungprabang, please wait for the final day of this Laos Trip, half-day in Luangprabang and the way back to Bangkok.
